I’m Elden McDonald, the principal of Petrie Associates. I’m a software developer with over 15 years experience. In that time, I’ve built apps and websites, managed development teams and run tech companies. There’s more about my career on LinkedIn. I’m based in Sydney, Australia.
Our Services
I build online software independently, offer consultation to clients and, in response to the needs of many clients, now offer WordPress Assurance.
WordPress Assurance is our total backup, monitoring and maintenance service for WordPress sites.
We also build online software for clients, bringing in subcontractors as appropriate to the scale of the project. I’m always open to development projects where we can add value far in excess of our costs.

Petrie Associates was incorporated in 1958 by my grandfather, Walter “Ted” Petrie.
